St. Patrick's Week 2015

Ireland,
One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The haunting ocean views to the cities of excitement and celebrations.

Dublin was our first stop and we visited the Guinness factory with the tour ending in a fantastic look over the city of Dublin and a glass of Guinness- shamrockand all. . We used the Hop On- Hop Off Bus to get us a great look at the city so we could decide just where to stop next. We were on and off all day visiting places like Trinity College, Whitefriars Church, the post office where bullet holes from the revolution can still be seen.  Our bus driver had a way with the spoken Irish word,  stories to tell, and songs to sing about many of the different places we were visiting. We spent the evening in one of the local restaurants then walked across the street with the rest of the patrons to watch the local football team in tournament play. We were welcome where ever we went and people were glad  help us out when we need to find our way.

We traveled to places like Kilarney, Limerick, Kildare, Louth, Waterford, Cork, and Wicklow. The Ring of Kerry is one of Ireland's most popular and beautiful drives.  Woollen Mills, Blarney Castle and the Kerry mountains were on our list as well as visiting as many local pubs as possible. In one pub (restaurants) we met a retired physician that was sitting with the band and playing bones.

This sheep was painted red, white and blue
so that the farmer could tell his sheep from
another's. They roam free.

St. Patrick's Week 2015 offers tours, guided and escorted
so you can visit and take in all the sights and sounds of this great area of the world. Plan now to celebrate, join in the festivities and be Irish for a day or two.
