10 Top Reasons to Book An All-Inclusive Family Trip

1. Grab a Spot on a Great Beach. A family vacation without a beach wouldn’t be much of a vacation. In fact, historically beaches have been #1 in family travel. The eastern Caribbean cost has been drawing families to its turquoise waters and sugary sands for decades. Cancun, Cozumel, Tulum and the Riviera Maya all boast a gorgeous coastline and beautiful resorts to boot.

2. Explore a Fascinating Culture. While the majority families are looking for sun and fun, the country of Mexico is a treasure trove of cultural and colonial gems that ought not to be overlooked. Rich with Mayan ruins that are fun to explore-and are kid friendly.

3. Pay one Price and Pay Less. Booking an all-inclusive vacation takes much of the stress out of planning a trip by as much as 25 percent when compared to paying for things as you go. Also, it’s tough to truly relax if you feel you are being nickel-and-dimed, constantly pulling out your wallet and paying for a meal, a drink, an activity and so on. When you pre-pay, your mind and emotions respond to the activities and meals if they were free, making them more enjoyable. So pay one price up front and then…….enjoy.

4. Eat, Drink, and be ‘Alegre’. Mexican cuisine today is a far cry from the roadside taco stands and cemita stalls at food markets. Over the last few years the destination has turned to haute cuisine and has embraced with it a wine and tequila culture rivaling some of the top culinary destinations in the world. However, your all-inclusive resort will more than likely have plenty of kid-friendly fare.

 5. Stage a Family Reunion. All-inclusive pricing makes the logistics of planning a large, multi-generational gathering that much simpler. When the grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins arrive, they can s pend 100 percent of their time getting reacquainted without having to worry about paying the tab afterward.

6. Enjoy some Alone Time Together. While the kids are enjoying safe, supervised fun, you and your spouse can spend some worry free time getting to know each other all over again. Play a round of golf, indulge in a couple’s spa, go sightseeing or just plain relax.

7. Turn off the Weather Channel. It’s almost always sunny in Mexico and occasional cooling showers pass quickly. Plan to do on your vacation, without looking out the window or waiting for weather reports.

8. Leave the Driving to Someone Else. By staying at an all-inclusive resort, you eliminate the need to have a rental car. Use a resort shuttle service, arrange for a tour or hire a cab for a short drive. After all, isn’t one of the reasons you decided on an all-inclusive vacation in the first place was to avoid that long drive to the shore?

9. Spend Less Time in the Air. Long flights can be especially tough on kids, who tend to get bored easily. Much of Mexico, especially Cancun, Cozumel and the Riviera Maya, is only a short hop from just about anywhere in the United States, with several airlines offering daily flights.

10. Let the Kids be Kids. Most hotels and resorts have Kids Clubs and Teen Clubs with planned daily activities for children that may include outdoor games, cooking classes, arts and crafts and even Spanish lessons. Plus they’ll get to spend the day with other children their own age. All-inclusive offer a great way for the whole family to enjoy a resort/hotel and have a great family Experience and yet give each member of the family some much needed time to do their own thing.
